Cross stitching has broken free from the hoop! This crafty hobby has come a long way from the samplers our grandmothers used to make.  We love finding this stitch in different forms that make it completely unexpected yet still familiar. The iphone case above is a crafty DIY that gives you the freedom to create any pattern you want!

This hand painted wall mural by artist Eline Pellinkhof has such a surprising quality to it. The overblown scale and imperfect lines combine to make a unique focal point in a bedroom.

Talk about large scale! This wardrobe takes cross stitching to the next level by using pegboard and large yarn to imitate it's smaller scaled predecessor. This would be interesting to watch evolve as your tastes change. Any free weekend you could add a new color and design.

And last but not least, this Etsy shop is packed full of letterpress stitches in the form of cards and calendars.  Check out the whole collection at Pistachio Press!
