When designing prints, we usually focus on smoothing away stray pixels instead of highlighting them.  We are drawn to these designs that do the opposite by placing the emphasis on the individual pixel by enlarging the scale. Each of these images highlight the beauty of magnifying the small individual parts instead of blending them into the whole. We are loving the pixelated print above on the vintage chair from our Fossil Finds.

We can't get enough of Shawn Smith's sculptures he creates with wood cubes that look like large 3-dimensional pixels.

Looking for a DIY project that creates a one of a kind piece of art that will only cost you a little bit of time?  With patience and planning this beauty came together from a pixelated image and a stack of paint chips!

This pixelated version of water pouring from a pipe was part of a street art installation on Mercer Street in NYC.

If you are looking for a Halloween idea be sure to add "Pixel Girl" to your list!  We love the simplicity combined with creativity of this costume.  You'll have everyone second guessing their vision!
