Mobile money-saving app vouchercloud has announced that it has now achieved 2m downloads.
The app first launched on the iPhone in February 2010, the app is now also on Android with a BlackBerry version due "shortly" and a Windows Phone 7 version planned for the new year.
The company says it has so far saved over £20m for its users, with 4.5m vouchers downloaded since launch. The company says that 52.5 per cent of its users are male, and restaurant deals are the most popular vouchers.
Greg Le Tocq, MD at vouchercloud, says: "The vouchering sector has taken off exponentially over the past year - as has mobile marketing - so we are happily in the right place at the right time and have worked hard to stay ahead of the game ... Downloads per month are increasing and we're now seeing over 100,000 new users joining us a month. More and more major retail brands are also now seeing the power of incentive mobile marketing so our content continually improves too.
"We also have some great new innovations planned for next year which will take mobile marketing to the next level."
