Cushions are very easy to find in stores. However, it's not the same thing as having a customized accessory that can make by yourself.Cushions are very easy to make and these particular ones only take 30 minutes to complete. Let's see what you can use for this project. You'll need a yard of fabric, 2 standard sized bed pillows, scissors, a ruler or measuring tape, a pencil, pins, 20'' of Velcro for each pillow, thread and a sewing machine.
Start by folding the fabric in half lengthwise. Then measure and cut the fabric s that you get pieces measuring 41″ x 28 1/2″. Fold the edges that measure 41'' long over 1'' and then another inch. Pin, press and stitch the pieces in place. Then stitch the remaining sides together. You just need to leave a 20'' opening in the center. Next, adjust each corner to obtain a triangular point and stitch it. Now all you have to do is turn the cushion right side out and attach the Velcro.
Now it's time to connect the bed pillow to the cushion filling. First you need to cut along one long seam to open the side of the pillow. Measure and cut an equal number of 1″ x 4″ fringe on the cut edges of each pillow and tie these pieces together. Do the same thing for the pillow bottoms and the insert is ready to be placed into the cover. You can use any type of fabric you want for the pillows.
