So, do you wanna train like an athlete yet don't have the time to head to the Santa Monica stairs, do a many a lap around the good old track and field, or spend countless hours in the gym working with a personal trainer?  Good news, because Nike's Plus service is coming to the Xbox Kinect.

That's right.  Up until this point, Microsoft's Kinect lacked a truly unique and powerful exercise training tool.  You'll be joined by a personal trainer (we don't recognize the guy in the video, do you?) who will run you through a set of excercises that seems to range from dodging tennis balls, to push ups, to jumping over hurdles and more.  Nike+ Kinect will of course incorporate Nike Fuel, which we first saw arrive by way of the Nike Fuelband.  Though probably not the most accurate representation of one's exercise, it provides a good baseline to compare and compete with others using the service.  Also, since the Fuel number can be synced to one account, which we assume is the case for Nike+ Kinect, you should very well be able to use the Fuelband in tandem, or at least as a complementary piece of hardware to the game.

Now, in terms of the game itself, it would seem that you'll be represented on screen as a digitized shadow.  Presumambly the Kinect can detect when you're completing an excercise correctly and based on that, tally your appropriate fuel used.  We'd love to see a heart rate monitor tossed into the mix, as this would provide an accurate count of one's caloric burn, though this might negate some of the utility of Nike's Fuelband, so we don't expect it anytime soon…or ever for that matter.

Nike+ Kinect will arrive this holiday, though Microsoft and Nike haven't given us a specific date at this point.
