Not a lot of us would choose spiders as an object of admiration, but the tiny Peacock Spider, found in Australia by Jurgen Otto, is exceptionally photogenic fellow! Sydney-based scientist says he wasn't planning on staying there long because of lack of exciting things to shoot, until one day, he came across a mere 5 mm Maratus volans spider with vibrantly colored flaps. Fascinated by the variety of color patterns on the Peacock spiders, Jurgen even captured their mating process on tape.
