I came across this wonderful tutorial for DIY Mini Doily-print Bowls (via Pinterest) yesterday, and I've already made out my shopping list for the supplies needed to make my own over this next weekend. The project was created by Carol of Sodapop Design blog (written in German), but if that's not your language of choice, then a quick Google translation should make the project doable for you.

It looks like for her tutorial, Carol used a clay-like product called Efaplast (I found it online here). I'm hoping they have it in my local craft store though, so I don't have to be patient while I wait for it to ship from an online store (waiting is always so tough when you have an exciting new project to try out). I'm also wondering if the clay I used for my DIY Star Garland would work. It dries quickly, is very hard once dry and can be sanded for a nice clean finish (hmmm). Look for doilies in your local thrift or craft store (sometime you can find them at dollar stores too). For the full tutorial, hop on over to Sodapop Design blog. Enjoy! xo Ez
