Cheerful has launched its Cheers app for iOS. The social media app, which complements the company's complaint app Gripe, offers three categories – Person, Place, or Thing – for users to 'cheer', by taking a photo and writing a short message.
Cheerful was put together by Farhad Mohit, founder of BizRate.com and Shopzilla. "Cheers lowers the barrier to expressing love and appreciation, making it fun and easy to do something we all feel, but have never had a dedicated place to openly share before," says Mohit. "Further, by creating such a space, it becomes safe to not only cheer the stuff we love but, increasingly, the people in our lives as well, who in turn catch the Cheers bug."
Cheers, which can be shared through social networks and via email, gain users Cheerfluence points, incentivising use of the app.
