What better way to kick-off not only Toy Fair 2012, but also Fashion Week in New York City, then by Barbie unveiling her Dream Closet. Because if anyone knows fashion well, it's Barbie, and she took the time out at Fashion Week to let fashionistas inside her 9,000 square feet of closet space.

Inside the closet, visitors could check out Barbie's 360 pairs of pink shoes that are on display. That includes 1,536 square feet of pink jewels, and an 8 foot tall custom sculpted pink poodle. Of-course, There was also Barbie's favorite music playing, fashion icons on hand, along with stylists roaming her closet for inspiration.

Guests were also greeted by 6 live Barbie models, all dressed in iconic Barbie looks with fashions on loan from Alexander McQueen, Ocsar de la Renta and others. Because when Barbie gets dressed… she dresses up big.

And not only were guests welcomed into a pink Barbie wonderland, but guests were invited to try on Barbie's clothes via augmented reality mirrors. Women and men alike were encouraged to try on some of Barbie's fashions. Thanks to augmented reality technology, Barbie's clothes fitted all body types big and small using a resizing tool, and afterwards  they were put on display for all to see. So by the end of the evening not only had Barbie let everyone into her closet, but everyone walked out just bit more fashionable.
