Transcend introduces its new WiFi SD memory card, a wireless-capable SDHC memory card like the Eye-Fi that allows you to share photos taken instantly and wirelessly. The WiFi SD works with most SDHC-compatible digital cameras, and has integrated support for WiFi 802.11b/g/n connectivity and WEP, WPA, WPA2 security standards.
The wireless SD card works with Transcend's WiFi SD app for iOS and Android devices, and the card operates in two modes. The Direct Share mode, ideal for outdoor photo shooting, use the card's own wireless signal to create a peer-to-peer connection with a mobile device running the WiFi SD app, and will share photo taken with connected devices instantly. On the other hand, the Internet Mode connects the WiFi SD card to the Internet via a wireless hotspot or smartphone's mobile hotspot, and allows users to browse and download photos from the card for sharing with friends via email or social networking sites. Also, the Shoot and View feature allows users to snap photos on camera and view them instantly on the large screen of your iOS or Android smartphone or tablets.
Transcends WiFi SDHC cards features Class 10 speed rating for higher transfer speeds. The 16GB model is priced at $69 and the 32GB version costs $99.
