Visa has just started trialing an new method of payment for consumers to pay for Subway tickets using their iPhones.
The new system called VISA payWave and allows you to simply open up an iPhone app and wave the phone near pay-points that are located around the subway system. Check out the video after the jump to see it in action.
When a payment is detected you can then proceed through the barrier to make your journey on bus or train. New York City Transit, NJ TRANSIT and the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey are participating in the pilot program.
