Man, we guess we're just feeling crafty this week! Perhaps we've just felt a bit burned on giant home improvement projects that take forever and with spring on the way, just want to have fun doing something small and able to be completed so we can enjoy it and the weather! Two cute recent projects we've noticed that we think would be both good for a modern love to have personally or perhaps give as a gift: an embroidery notebook and a paper lantern!

How About Orange has a great little tutorial for a little origami paper lantern you could make to slip a tea light in and create a little punch of geometry or make a few for a fun little modern vignette! Would also make a cute gift for a friend with a little note on it. And why just use white paper? Any color would be cute.

Spotted on Etsy is a DIY Geometric Pocket Notebook Embroidery Kit Set of Two (only $20) that will let you make two adorable geometric embroidered notebooks (notebooks included!) One for you to make and keep and one for you to make and give! And don't be fooled: you can find embroidery floss at most craft stores and wouldn't just have to make this in red!

Will you be indulging in any of these crafts for your own home or perhaps as a gift?
