We really have a love for DIY pendant light projects. It's probably because as a rule, store-bought light fixtures tend to be on the pricier end of the accessories price spectrum, but also because they make a huge impact on any space. Not just because they bring in much-needed light that always warms up a decor, but because they tend to be centered over area of decor you wish to highlight, creating one sophisticated, layered design vignette. Over a dining table, over a seating area, a few lined up over a kitchen island, you know you know what we mean.

You'll get a kick out of this Woven Rope Pendant Lamp we spotted on Design*Sponge. Not only does it have a simple and modern shape, but its natural material brings in a hint of the natural world to your modern space. Though it looks like there are quite a few steps involved, it does look simple enough that it can be done by anyone with a steady hand and a little patience. More here.
