We're suckers for nice packaging, but in this case the product isn't high-design or super functional, but purely about communication. AS Foods makes fruit and veggie-based products, and has gone the extra mile in their packaging for their line of natural juice jellies.
Starting with packing them in boxes that look exactly like real fruit boxes, they give a feeling of being natural and traditional. Something that came in on a truck from a farm, not a factory.
Opening the box reveals even more interesting internal packaging with a fresh sliced melon looking right at you, detailed even down to the rind.
The melon of course contains separately packaged jellies made from real melon juice, and they're pretty true to the flavor at that. We opted to freeze half of ours to create some cold summer snacks.
The whole line-up is pretty incredible actually, ranging from oranges to sweet potatoes. Yeah, it's a lot of packaging, but it's also an experience, and a cheap one at that for about $5 a box.
