Who would've thought that someone could reinvent the traditional fruit basket? Product designer Kare Frandsen did just that with the introduction of her Pick Fruit Basket.

This ultra sleek fruit basket takes a completely different approach to fruit. Rather than hiding it in a corner, the Pick allows you to put your fruit on display as a contemporary design element. The unit is constructed from two large metal rings with intersecting rubber line that allows the fruit to pulled in and out of the contraption. It's certainly a lot easier to choose what you would like to eat as well, as oppose to digging through a more conventional fruit basket.
